This course willbe about engaging reluctant learners and using e-learning tools. This course includes a folder you need to buy - the cost of the folder is $55 and can be paid on the day. I've attended Georgina's first PD in Ballarat, and apart from the knowledge I gained on the day, I'm using my folder every day. It never leaves my desk. When: 30th March 2012 at 10am - 3pm Where: this will be held at the public library in Ballarat , 175 Doveton Street North. Fee of $10 payable on the day RSVP essential: Limited numbers (20 people) The focus will be on developing dialogue, discussion and building on each other’s ideas to create shared understanding. This means that this PD will demonstrate the potential of using art to guide students to learn collaboratively and develop communication skills, be it written or verbal. Australian Art Works from 1788 – 21st Century will be presented to help students develop thinking disposition that support thoughtful learning. During this workshop the Zart consultant will structure questions that will encourage participants to think deeper, to discuss and debate, to wonder and to create. The use of graphic organisers will be used to record and assess student’s thinking. The link to Australian History will be made and the potential of using Art works to engage students learning and understanding of History will be explored. The staff will then be challenged to think at Bloom’s Highest Level and to put on De Bono’s Green Hat to create an artwork using Zart’s wonderful art materials.
